What I love about this version is that they really make it clear, when the Ghost of Christmas future shows him his grave, that? Benedict Slade is not so much upset that he dies, but that it is -in the words of the move- as if he had never lived. His whole life was for nothing because he had left no one to remember him or care that he had lived. Not many versions of this story, in my opinion, have made that clear.

I've been waiting a long time to see this again. Last time I saw it was on TV was probablly back in the 80's and I enjoyed it now just as much as I did then. This version is very timely? with the economy the way it is today. I don't know why not one of the hundreds of TV outlets airs this version every year like they do A Christmas Story. It deserves to be retold for future generations just as much as the latter in my opinion. Much thanks to Christmasfellow2008 for taking the time to upload this.

Having just seen the new 3d movie by Jim Carey I was? brought back to this version that I remembered so well from my youth. I needed this to put my faith back in the franchise. They botched the story on the new movie and its a sign of the times of the industry.
